Changelog

The changelog gives you an overview of the changes made to the Image Recognition module at each release.

This changelog covers the 3.x branch of the Image Recognition module. For the 2.x branch see here.

This is a technical preview of version 3.0.0-beta1 of the Image Recognition module. This preview is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only and must not be used in production environments. For more information, see the DAM 5.0.0-beta1 documentation.

Released on June 6, 2025.

This 3.0.0-beta1 release is compatible with Magnolia 6.3 only when used with the technical preview of DAM 5 (5.0.0-beta1). Do not upgrade to Image recognition 3.0.0-beta1 if you are not testing the DAM 5 technical preview.

Breaking change: The ImageRecogniser.recognise method signature changes from byte[] to ImageBinary.

Custom implementations of the ImageRecogniser interface won’t compile or run unless updated to use the new ImageBinary parameter.
